Artists from the Live Arts Festival artist residency program or a guest artist from the region talk about their work process and share their musings, imaginings and ideas that are the inspiration for what will eventually evolve into a new work.
They'll be casual, intimate gatherings, so anything goes. The artists may perform segments of new work, tell stories about their un-traditional research, or just discuss what they're currently imagining for their upcoming piece. Your feedback and questions throughout are warmly welcomed and encouraged!
- Free admission
- Free beer from Triumph Brewing Company
- You'll hang with the artists, meet new people, see cool stuff, and be part of amazing conversations (or just listen in if you'd rather!).
- The second Thursday of each month, October - June 7pm
- Charlotte Ford
Charlotte Ford will perform a new segment of the Delicious Raymond Charles II, a clown drag act created in collaboration with Emmanuelle Delpech-Ramey. Ladies be warned: Raymond is powerfully attractive. He puts the sweat back in sweater and the laid back in ladies man. Raymond will rock you.
Megan Mazarick
Megan will show a work-in-progress excerpt of Neon Gothic. This dance work is inspired by the southern gothic writers Flannery O'Connor, Mitch Cullin, and John Kennedy Toole.
Two delusional twins discover a dead body and try to figure out what to do with it. A girl pokes the corpse of a recently deceased grandmother.
It's a darkly comic piece that will eventually turn into an evening-length work in which multiple dancers play the same character.
Performers: Scott McPheeters, Bethany Formica, and Megan Mazarick

This work is being created with support from Susan Hess Choreographer Project, University of the Arts, and nEW Festival.
Kathryn Tebordo / Workshop for Potential Movement
This month, Resident Artist Kathryn Tebordo will present and perform in a dance made in collaboration with Laura Neuman. Explored through micro- and macro-movements, it’s a celebration of drunkenness that carries the sense of isolation drunkenness can bring.
