Earlier today, I was talking with the actress Amy Frear (who wrote Napoleon Princess Groupie Newspaper for this year’s Philly Fringe), who told me that she thought of the Fringe as a bit like Christmas. Indeed, learning about and seeing shows can often be like opening little presents.
And so it was when Douglas Irving Repetto emailed me earlier this week about Monsters, a show featuring audience-build mechanical foals at the Penn Museum. It’s an extension of a project he did at MoMA a while back. Want a taste? Watch below:

Monsters is up for one day only, Sunday, September 16 at the Penn Museum, 3620 South Street, University City. Foal-building workshop starts at 2:30 pm, show begins at 4:00 pm. $8 to $10.
