Christie in Love: Not Your Average Romance

Christie in Love Promotional FlyerBoy, has the Iron Age Theatre have a treat in store for you. British dramatist Howard Brenton’s Christie in Love explores the world of the a serial killer, providing a distorted view of police interrogation procedures–this is surely not an episode of CSI. Not only will there be murder and necrophilia, there will also be blow up dolls and body exhumation.

Christie in Love runs at Eastern State Penitentiary, 2027 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, and The Centre Theater, 208 Dekalb Street, Norristown. Dates, times, and location vary; $15.

"Building an ensemble doesn’t really work, because it can’t be you being attracted to them, but them being attracted to the work. People with staying power are attracted to the work, the ideas. Not the other way around."
Whit MacLaughlin, artistic director of New Paradise Laboratories
