Fringe Vital Stats: Will Steinberger

In this series, get to know your 2010 Philly Fringe artists a little bit better. Today, say hi to the creative force behind the show THE IMPEACHMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND OTHER SIMILAR, RELATED, NOTABLE AND WORTHWHILE CONCERNS, which will be performed as part of iNtuitons Experimental Theatre Company‘s Alternative Theatre Festival:

Name:
Will Steinberger

Age:
21

Where do you live now?
In an abandoned, plumbingless, mosquito-infested, moldy, asbestos-riddled, unhappy barn in Berkshire County, MA. But only for a bit, then it’s back to West Philly.

Where were you born?

Pennsylvania Hospital.

What’s your show title?
Why does everybody ask me this? My producer e-mails me twice a day asking me this question. It was called DID for a bit. Then it was POLITICAL TRIALS PROJECT. Anyhoo, it’s currently called THE IMPEACHMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND OTHER SIMILAR, RELATED, NOTABLE AND WORTHWHILE CONCERNS. Some New York writer told me long titles are in. Last year my Fringe play was called THE INTELLIGENT THEATREGOER’S GUIDE TO COSTUME AND PROP, WITH A KEY TO 4100 WALNUT STREET.

Endgame by Samuel Beckett at Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge, MA, superbly directed by Eric Hill.

What’s your favorite Philly intersection?
Used to be Broad and Pattison, but check with me again in October.

What’s the worst thing you ever did for money?
(See last question)

Who’s your favorite Phillies player?
J-Roll, circa 2007.

Do you have relatives more famous than you? Who are they?
I can assure you, I am the most famous of the Steinbergers.

What’s your least favorite country, and why?
New Jersey

Do you own a gun? If so, have you fired it in anger?
No, I prefer knives.

Do you have pets? If so, what are their names?
A chinchilla named Michael Silverstein.

If you weren’t an artist, what would your job be?
Chauffeur, cause I own like four copies of the PA Driver’s Manual.

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve ever seen on SEPTA?
Vomijackiarrhea. It’s pretty self-explanatory.
